If you’ve seen my previous unboxings and read the reviews, you already know that I have fallen head over heels for Tony Moly. Just when I thought love at first sight was a silly myth – Tony Moly, with their adorable packaging and high-quality products, proved me so, so wrong. It’s not in the form I ever thought it would be, but I definitely found love in an unexpected place.

TONYMOLY December Subscription Box Unboxing

In all seriousness, I truly love the Tony Moly products, and have been using almost only them since I started purchasing their boxes. I’m not getting paid for this in any way, and this is not a promotion. I truly do enjoy their products, and have been feeling a great difference – and my skin is very problematic. I even purchased extra products with my box this time around.

The extra products I purchased:
Panda’s Dream White Sleeping Pack
Panda's Dream White Sleeping Pack

I’ve received this Panda night cream in my very first box, back in October. I loved it so much, and it’s almost finished, so I decided to get a new one. If you want to read more about my thoughts about it, you can check it out in my October unboxing review.

Tomatox Magic Massage Pack
Tomatox Magic Massage Pack

I purchased this one on discount, after wanting to try it out for the longest time. I heard tomatoes are supposed to be very good for the skin, so I decided to try it out. This mask is supposed to clear and brighten the skin. It’s hard to tell just yet, but I do love the feel of it and the scent is absolutely incredible.

Panda’s Dream Eye Patch – Brightening Eye Mask
Panda’s Dream Eye Patch - Brightening Eye Mask

Well, I’ll be super honest – this one was a not so much epic fail. So these eye patches are supposed to reduce black circles around the eyes and wrinkles. I really loved the idea of this, and couldn’t wait to try it out. I mean, how adorable is it to have Panda eyes masks? However, the instructions weren’t clear and I just couldn’t get it on right. There’s a very high chance that I’m the problem, but I just couldn’t figure out how to put them on. The holes for the eyes were weird and unclear where they were supposed to go.

I’m usually very stubborn and never give up, but self care is supposed to be relaxing, not frustrating and annoying. So if it takes too long and is too complicated – I’m out. So I’m officially declaring this the one and only failure from Tony Moly for me, and I probably won’t be purchasing this again.

Extra products I got as gifts:
I’m Milk Hand Cream
I'm Milk Hand Cream

This is the second I’m hand cream I’ve received, and I truly love it. This one smells so so divine, and it really feels great on the skin. It also absorbs fairly quickly, so it doesn’t leave your hands all sticky after you apply it.

Petite Bunny Gloss Bar 04 – Juicy Cherry
Petite Bunny Gloss Bar 04 - Juicy Cherry

I don’t really apply anything on my lips on a daily basis, but this bunny lip gloss is quite subtle and natural looking. It’s also very easy to apply and isn’t too prominent, which is great. I think it’s a great product for those of you, like me, who are not really into makeup and just want something simple and easy to use.

The products I received in the box:
Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm
Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm

I’ve already received an egg shell mask in the previous box, and this one is a bit different. The texture is very interesting, it feels very thick and gelly, then turns white and feels like applying soap when rubbing it into the skin. Again, I’m not a huge fan of wash off masks, I much prefer the sheet ones. However, this one does really feel nice on the skin. It’s supposed to be self-heating, whatever that means, but I didn’t feel it heating up more than normal. According to the product description it’s supposed to remove impurities, blackheads, and dead skin cells through a steaming effect. It’s hard to tell just yet, but I did feel quite fresh after the use.

Egg Pore Nose Pack

I’ve tried quite a few blackhead strips from many different brands, and this one is nice, but I don’t think there’s too much of a difference to others. At the end of the day, I think it all falls down to consistency. As the package instructs, you can use it up to 2-3 times a week. If you do it only once, you won’t feel a significant difference, but after using it for a couple of weeks, a couple of times a week, you can feel a much bigger improvement.

Red Apple Hand Cream

Red Apple Hand Cream

So by now I have many hand creams from Tony Moly, and while I do love hand creams, this one was a bit of a disappointment. Not only because I would have preferred to receive a different type of product, but also because it was by far lower in quality than the other hand creams. First of all, there isn’t actually much product inside the container. Second, it’s quite sticky, and while the scent is pleasant, it’s not my favourite. I usually love the smell of apples, but for some reason, the more time passes, the more this one smells quite rotten.

Mini Fruit Lip Balm
Mini Fruit Lip Balm

I’ve mentioned in my first Tony Moly unboxing, that I’m not a huge fan of lip balms you need to apply with your finger. Especially now with the pandemic, when we need to try to touch our faces as little as possible. So I would never actually use this outside the house, but I do really like it. My lips were actually very chapped and dry lately, and when using this peach lip balm, I could actually feel the improvement. Not to mention the great scent. However, it was quite disappointing to receive such a small product.

Tako Pore Blackhead Scrub Stick
Tako Pore Blackhead Scrub Stick

This is probably the top product that I’ve been hoping to get in one of my boxes. I saw it on the site, already back in October when ordering my first box, and ever since – I’ve been intrigued. It is much smaller than I thought it would be, but upon further investigation, I discovered that it was a slightly different product. So this is supposed to deep cleanse your pores and get rid of blackheads. Of course, it is too early to tell, but it does feel good on the skin and leaves a fresh and clean feel. In general, ever since I started using their Tako Pore products, I have felt like my pores have tightened.

Perfect Eyes Long Kinny Gel Pen Liner

I’ve received this same pen liner in my october box, just in black. This one is dark brown, which I’ve never actually tried before, but was a nice change of pace. It’s also not very noticeable, especially if going out at night time. Otherwise, it’s exactly the same as the black one. It’s easy to apply, very pigmented and comes off without much of a hassle at all. Although, it does need touch ups if you keep it on for the whole day.

INKED Lasting Mascara
INKED Lasting Mascara

For the longest time, I’ve been hoping to get and try one of their INKED products. Besides being adorably packaged like a Fountain Pen, it’s a great mascara – like all the others I got, very easy to apply and use. As the name suggests, it’s very inky and prominent – one layer is more than suffice, and coats the lashes with a generous cover. And of course, the best part is that it washes off in bits and doesn’t run or stain – like their other mascaras I’ve tried.

Matte Lipstick KISS LOVER
Matte Lipstick KISS LOVERMatte Lipstick KISS LOVER

So again, personally I don’t really like lipsticks so much, especially not the very prominent and “out there” ones. And this one is definitely out there, with its pinkish-red, bright colour. So instead of letting it collect dust on my shelf, I decided to give it to my sister. I did try it however first, and it was very silky and fun to apply, but other than that – definitely not for me, the colour did not compliment my complexion.

2 I’m Real Sheet Face Masks
2 I’m Real Sheet Face Masks

By now you know that these are my favourite masks and I’ve used them many times before. I’ve already received a couple in my November box, which of course, I loved. This time I got the I’m Tomato – and again, I love Tomato skin products, and the I’m Avocado which I’ve absolutely fallen in love with.

Besides the adorable packaging, which is a huge bonus, the quality of these products are great. And not many brands have survived on my shelf for this long, as my skin is very problematic. I also love that I got 10 products in the box, that is more than any subscription box I’ve heard of. They also always have great sales and fun surprises – which is a great bonus and makes it all, all the more fun.

You can only get it in this constellation on the Israeli site, but you can get different monthly bundles on the EU and US sites. Also, you can definitely just get the products separately if you want.

Happy self-caring!

Stay safe, stay healthy and stay strong!
All my best,
Michal B.L.
